The calendar application in Windows 3.11

Windows 3.11 dropped in 1993 and was basically Microsoft tightening up what they started with Windows 3.1—same look, but with better networking. It was all about getting PCs to play nice in offices, thanks to improved support for networking protocols like TCP/IP and Novell NetWare. If you were around back then, you probably remember the chunky gray windows, Program Manager, and trying to get drivers to work. It was technically still sitting on top of MS-DOS, so yeah, command lines were still in the mix. But for its time, it was a big step toward the modern GUI experience. Windows for Workgroups 3.11 especially was a go-to for early peer-to-peer networking before the internet really took over.
