Should I click it? đŹ

Microsoft Bob dropped in March 1995, and letâs be realâit was one of Microsoftâs weirdest plays. It was supposed to make Windows easier by throwing a cartoonish interface over it, complete with a dog named Rover and a bunch of âroomsâ youâd click through instead of menus. The idea? Help new users feel less intimidated by their PC. But Bob floppedâhard. People hated the clunky design, it needed way too much RAM for the time, and it just didnât click. It barely lasted a year, with no real updates past the initial release before it quietly vanished. But hereâs the kicker: even though Bob was a failure, it planted the seeds for stuff like Clippy and todayâs digital assistants. So yeah, Bob was a punchlineâbut it was also ahead of its time.
