MyWay Portal in 2002

MyWay web portal in 2002. I actually miss it because it did not have any annoying ads or clickbait “headlines”.

MyWay was one of those early 2000s web portals that tried to give you the whole internet in one place—think email, search, news, weather, and customizable start pages without the clutter that Yahoo and MSN were famous for. Launched in 2001 by Excite@Home alumni, it leaned into the “no ads, no pop‑ups” promise, which felt like a breath of fresh air back then. MyWay Search rolled out updates through the mid‑2000s, adding tighter Google‑powered search and simple homepage widgets, but it never hit the mainstream like AOL or MSN. By the late 2000s, social media and faster browsers killed the need for portals, and MyWay faded into the same nostalgic corner as Ask Jeeves and Netscape.
