I recently learned from benadamsondxb on Threads that Sony used to make a floppy disk adapter for Memory Sticks!

Back in 2000, Sony dropped the Memory Stick Floppy Disk Adapter, a slick little hack for anyone juggling digital cameras and old-school PCs. It looked like a standard 3.5-inch floppy, but you could slide a Memory Stick into it and pop it into a floppy drive—no USB, no card reader, just instant access to your photos or files. It maxed out at 128MB because that’s all Memory Sticks could handle at the time, and it was painfully slow by today’s standards, but it felt futuristic if your computer didn’t have any modern ports. Sony later updated it to support Memory Stick Duo with an adapter, but once USB card readers got cheap and fast, this thing faded into tech history.
